I’ve decorated my home for the fall but I forgot to make one for the outside so I just decided to make a super easy fall wreath for the entrance door.
This time I could actually use the vibrant colors of the fall leaves being sold in the shops because this craft is going to be outside of my home. I made muted colors for the fall décor for inside my home to match the color scheme. You can check how I made my fall and thanksgiving centerpiece and my fall décor.
This is an easy project you can do and won’t hurt your pocket at all.
Faux fall leaves garland
Foam board or cardboard
Silver metallic marker pen
Fine point black Sharpie
Orange woven placemat ( or any orange paper )
Start with the garland. Shape it into a circle as big of a diameter as you like.
Secure the garland’s round shape with floral wire. Wire the top, bottom and the left and right sides.
There may appear to be bald spots so what you can do is cut up some leaves from the back of the garland and use a glue gun to attach it to any area that has a big gap in between the leaves.
Now, you can do the piece for the wreath’s center. You can use any orange base, I just preferred to use a woven placemat from the dollar store for more texture. Cut your orange base into a round shape.
Use a pencil and just write “hello fall” at the center of your orange base then use a silver metallic marker pen to outline it. You can thicken your outline on some parts of the letters. Do some swirls on the sides.
Use a black fine point Sharpie to then outline the edges of the silver written letters. Oh well, I ran out of Sharpie as I was doing this so I just grabbed a black pen, ha! It worked.
Then cut up foam board or cardboard the same size as your orange base. Use a glue gun to attach it to the board.
Cut up some floral wire and attach the wire at the back of your base, top center. And while the glue is hot place a piece of cardboard on the wire to secure it better. Do another one at the bottom center of your base.
Then place your base at the center of your wreath and wrap the floral wire at the top and bottom.
Your Fall Wreath
All set to be hung on your front entry way. But you can place it inside your home, too, if you like that better. Enjoy fall peeps because I’m loving fall myself!
You can totally rock this!
