Oh my, summer went by so quick! In this part of the country where I live, it seems the summer is the shortest season but I sure love this season because the sun sets at about 10pm. I knew it was coming to an end soon as I noticed it was starting to get dark after 8:30pm.
With the end of summer comes the start of school for my kids. I’m so blessed that my kids love school and they are always eager and diligent to learn. Their teachers have nothing but praises for them both in their level of learning and their character. They were both excited for school but a bit concerned because their friends were placed in other classrooms for this school year. But nevertheless, they look really forward to school.
We were able to get their back to school gears in place. All set for the first day. I also did a lunch bag makeover for my other daughter. I bought a plain lunch bag from the dollar store and made it look more expensive than it really is! Let me show you how to make one.
Plain lunch bag
Metallic multi surface paint ( or fabric paint )
This is so easy peasy. I can’t wait for you to try it. Buy a plain lunch bag from the dollar store.
Think of what design you want to place on it. Once you’ve set a design in mind, use chalk stick to outline it on the lunch bag. You can also just copy the pineapple and tribal design I did on the bag. It’s easy to erase and correct your chalked outline, just get a moist rag and rub it on the part you want to erase.
Get your paint and paintbrush ready. Apply your first coat of paint.
When the first coat fully dries, apply a second coat of paint.
Once the paint is fully dry, get a moist rag and remove all the chalk markings and you are done baby!
I think it turned out gorgeous. That dollar store lunch bag never looked so good ’til this makeover. You’ll agree it looks more expensive now, right.
You can totally rock this!
