I have not met anyone yet that doesn’t love a good pair of jeans. What’s not to love, really. It’s a pair that can last for years but that’s if you remain the same weight and you can still breathe when it’s buttoned. Hey, I’m not trying to burst your bubble…I’m talking about me! haha! Some jeans have to be handed down to the next sibling, some can be donated and some that can be repurposed.
If you have kids, you know how fast they can outgrow their clothes. So if there are no other siblings that can use it, it could be repurposed to something functional. It is so easy to do and pretty cool, too.
The easiest to repurpose are those pairs of jeans whose pockets have a flap with buttons. If what you have are only pockets without flaps, you can just make a flap over it using the denim fabric to make it.
So I found two old jeans that had flaps over the pockets. One pair was pants and the other was shorts.
Let me show you how I did it.

Simply cut out the back pockets of the jeans.
Trim all the excess around the pockets.
Repurposed Old Jeans Pocket
Voila! Instant pouch for stuff. You can place anything that can fit… lip balms, point and shoot camera, day wear make up, points cards …
Great to make into a coin purse, too.
You can totally rock this!
